Frequently Asked Questions

We have thousands of Shippers and Carriers in our database to establish direct connection opportunities. You will be able to filter the types of Carriers you'd like to connect with by industry, freight types, preferred lanes, performance ratings, and more. Shippers have the option of assigning a load to a preferred Carrier, posting it to bid to their preferred Carrier network, or posting it to bid to the entire LaneAxis Carrier network. All bidding is conducted via the LaneAxis platform directly between the Shippers and Carriers.

LaneAxis is FREE to join for all Carriers and Shippers. LaneAxis offers a per-load pricing model. Shippers pay a $5 load Tracking fee, plus a 1% LaneAxis transaction fee based on the agreed upon contracted shipment rate. Carriers will be deducted 1% of the contracted rate upon final settlement. Both sides will also pay a 2.9% Stripe Connect transaction fee.

Once the Shipper and Carrier agree to the rate confirmation, the Shipper will submit the full payment (the “Load Payment”) via the Payment Gateway Account. The Load Payment will be held in the Gateway Account during the duration of the shipment. Once the Driver uploads the signed Proof-of-Delivery, the Load Payment to the Carrier will be held for an additional 24 hours to allow for any potential disputes and their resolutions. If there are no disputes, LaneAxis GUARANTEES Load Payment (minus applicable fees) will be released directly to the Carrier’s bank account on file 24-hours after submission of signed POD. EXCEPTIONS: If a dispute arises that extends beyond the 24-hour post-delivery window, the dispute will be moved offline for continued resolution efforts and, if need be, third party mediation. Upon dispute resolution, payment will be released to Carrier.

LaneAxis is built to handle any type of freight movement – whether it’s over the road (OTR) Truckloads to less-than-truckload (LTL) to last-mile delivery. If a shipper needs product moved and you have the equipment to do it, the LaneAxis Network is for you. Eventually, we envision eliminating freight classifications such as FTL and LTL altogether. LaneAxis is building an ecosystem focused on network visibility and finding available capacity when and where it’s needed.

No. Unlike traditional load boards that are dominated by broker-posted freight, LaneAxis is to build a network of both Carriers and Shippers. By offering Shippers and Carriers the chance to build a relationship through the network, Shippers will have a trusted source of Carriers they can work with one-on-one continuously. For Carriers, LaneAxis provides a way for them to build a recurring revenue stream with Shippers they prefer to work with while offering a preferred level of service to those Shippers.

All network and business rules are stored in the LaneAxis Network Smart Contract. Specific clauses can be added or adjusted as needed. The core operations on the platform, such as Shipper-Carrier transactions and escrow services will be done using a USD pegged licensed stablecoin, therefore making this part of the system protected from any crypto market volatility. AXIS Tokens will be used to validate all milestones and documents in the shipment lifecycle. All documents are stored in the blockchain, preventing any manipulation of data or load history.

We have thousands of Shippers in our database to establish potential connection opportunities with Carriers. You will be able to filter the types of Shippers you'd like to connect with by industry, freight types, preferred lanes, annual revenue, and more. Similarly, Shippers will be able to query for Carriers based on Truck types, real-time location-based Driver availability, and the Shipper's own preferred lanes.

No. Unlike traditional load boards, one of the key purposes of LaneAxis is to build a network of both Carriers and Shippers.

LaneAxis has created a true Shipper-to-Carrier direct freight network. Cutting out brokers will save both Shippers and Carriers money. LaneAxis is built to help the 97% of Trucking companies that are small and independent by arming them with the tools and tech to compete with the "mega Carriers." Most of these small Carriers are already hauling most of the freight moved daily throughout the U.S., however much of this is brokered freight or "purchased transportation," meaning intermediaries are taking a cut of the Carrier's final payment. LaneAxis empowers small Carriers to connect with Shippers of all sizes, negotiate directly, and get paid the full amount upon completion of a successful load (minus applicable transaction fees).

Freight brokers are excluded from using the system.

Yes. LaneAxis is an exceptional fleet management tool, allowing Carriers to monitor all their vehicles and shipments in a single dashboard. All shipment documents can be uploaded via the network app and are instantly archived. Carriers can also share a shipment tracking link with any of their existing Shippers who are not in the LaneAxis network.

Absolutely. In fact - while LaneAxis has an expansive and ever-growing database of Shippers - we strongly encourage Carriers to leverage their existing Shipper relationships and connect with them inside the LaneAxis platform. Carriers should be actively pursuing connections with any and every Shipper they currently - or could potentially - do business with.

It's important to note LaneAxis is NOT a load board. Traditional load boards are dominated by broker-posted freight, meaning Carriers/Drivers are not earning the full amount they should be. In the LaneAxis platform, Shippers have the option of assigning a load to one of their preferred Carriers, posting the load for bid to their preferred Carrier network, or posting the load for bid to the entire LaneAxis Carrier network. All negotiations are conducted directly between the Shipper and Carrier. Once a Shipper selects a Carrier and the two sides agree on a rate, the Carrier will assign the load to a Driver. Owner operators can assign the load to themselves. All load details will be sent directly to the Driver's mobile phone via the LaneAxis Network app.

Shippers pay a $5 load tracking fee, plus a 1% LaneAxis transaction fee based on the agreed upon contracted shipment rate. Carriers will be deducted 1% of the contracted rate upon final settlement. Here’s a real world example: on a $1,000 load, final payout to the Carrier will be approximately $972. A broker charging 20% commission would only pay out $800. That’s almost $175 more in your pocket – PER LOAD. Of course many brokers take more than 20%. LaneAxis also guarantees direct payment 24-hours after a successful delivery (unless a dispute is raised in that 24-hour window). So no more factoring! That’s even more money in your account.

All Carriers receive a free 6-month subscription to the American Association of Owner Operators (which normally costs $96 per year on a full price month-to-month plan). AAOO benefits include a free fuel card that saves an average of $.42 cents/gallon, Truck insurance, health insurance, equipment financing, tire discounts and much more. Visit aaofoo.com to learn more.

The LaneAxis Network App is a mobile shipment command center. Once a Driver accepts a load from their Carrier, all shipment details are sent straight to their mobile via the app. The Driver can upload all shipment documents via the app, such as proof-of-pickup and proof-of-delivery. The app also offers in-app messaging, reducing the need for constant "check calls." Drivers will also have access to free Truck-specific navigation and in-app access to the American Association of Owner Operators (AAOO).

LaneAxis has built the transportation industry's first Brokerless Shipper-to-Carrier Direct Network. LaneAxis is an established company built by logistics veterans with decades of combined Trucking and freight logistics experience. In 2018, LaneAxis was granted a valuable U.S. patent for its Shipper-to-Carrier direct software platform. The platform solves numerous longstanding problems for the freight industry including real-time Tracking, payment flow, data integrity, and the elimination of expensive third-party freight brokers - just to name a few.

LaneAxis cannot make forward looking statements regarding potential returns for investors. What we can say is that the company is on a very positive growth trajectory, both financially and in terms of network expansion and engagement with Carriers and Shippers. We will continually evaluate and potentially implement liquidation opportunities for LaneAxis shareholders, but it is premature to provide specific timelines. It is certainly our goal to issue dividends when the timing is right. We will keep all options open to grow the company. It's also worth noting, the shares you own are the exact same classification of shares the LaneAxis team owns - from our CEO & Founder all the way down. So our interests in the company's success - including stock performance - are in absolute alliance.

Our product is certainly focused on Trucking, but our freight tracking and management solution is multi-modal in that it covers land, sea, air and rail. This is made possible through tracking Load Manifest ID numbers, RFID chips, GPS, and integration into in-cab hardware such as Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs). The LaneAxis Network allows for a direct connection network for Shippers and Carriers to do business together - and in the process will generate a tremendous amount of actionable industry data. We will also provide access to our network data, including average loading times at docks, Carrier performance history, and much more. LaneAxis will charge a network data access fee to obtain this information. We are covering all the key areas in demand right now: creating a true Shipper-to-Carrier direct network which eliminates the need for expensive third party brokers, automating the freight tracking and management process, eliminating outdated processes that still dominate the industry such as phoning, faxing and emailing, and we're filling the need for the new "business gold": providing relevant, accurate and actionable shipment and industry data.

Owning shares in LaneAxis gives you an actual ownership stake in the company. Owning AXIS Tokens does NOT give you a stake in the company, but it does give you ownership of a digital asset that will be used throughout the LaneAxis blockchain ecosystem. The AXIS token will have numerous uses within the platform, most notably as an API key to access the blockchain. The AXIS Token is also used to verify shipments, pickups, drop-offs, and to access specific load data as well as industry-wide data (something entities such as insurance companies, government entities and others will be very interested in) - along with several other utility applications as the network data points increase.
The AXIS token is a tremendous asset to the LaneAxis platform, particularly as the adoption of digital assets is exploding across industries and across the globe. Data has been described as the "new gold" - and no industry needs better and more reliable data than the freight transportation sector. All shareholders stand to benefit from its implementation. In fact, the introduction of the blockchain and AXIS Token is one of the prime reasons our valuation increased from $7.97 million during our first StartEngine campaign in 2020 to $32.7 million for our 2021 campaign.

AXIS Tokens are not securities, they are true utility tokens. LaneAxis has obtained a legal opinion letter confirming this. The "utility" of the AXIS token comes in numerous forms, the most prominent being giving end-users API access to the blockchain itself. Once in the blockchain/network, AXIS tokens will be used for a wide variety of purposes, including shipment tracking, making network connections, obtaining average waiting times at pickup/delivery locations, load matchmaking, and confirming numerous aspects of freight deliveries. Beyond that, AXIS Tokens will be required for third parties (such as insurance companies) who want to obtain critical industry-wide data, such as freight lane analytics, statistical reports, Driver scoring, and more.

It's important to remember that while autonomous Trucks are indeed on the horizon and creating lots of buzz, there will always be a need for independent drivers to haul freight. Even once they become mainstream, which is likely a decade away, autonomous Trucks will almost certainly account for just a fraction of overall freight transportation movements. This technology, after all, is not cheap. Having said that, LaneAxis is developing the ability to connect to any Electronic Logging Device (ELD) in any Truck cab/delivery mechanism. This will make the LaneAxis solution compatible with future technology like autonomous vehicles, drones, etc. With or without a Driver the core LaneAxis software will confirm the pickup/delivery & all KPI data sets, as well as continuing to track all movements in real-time. Increased adoptions of autonomous Trucks will not affect our future growth as we are a software company, not a hardware company. Again, whether Over the Road (long hauls) or last-mile deliveries, Truck and delivery Drivers will always be needed - as will our solution. We have gone to great lengths to "future-proof" our platform.

No. LaneAxis is a U.S. company incorporated in Delaware and based in Southern California. AXIS Token International is a separate company based in the Cayman Islands.

No one is creating a true freight transportation network. No one. There is plenty of track-and-trace technology out there but no one is coalescing the nearly 4 million independent Drivers in the U.S. into a single, unified network. No one is setting up a platform to build trust, transparency and most importantly, direct connectivity between Shippers and Carriers, eliminating *Billions of dollars in "managed services fees" that eat into the profits of both Shippers and Carriers.

LaneAxis has over 7,000 shareholders.
